This is an agreement between INFOR and the Ministry of Energy that seeks to improve knowledge regarding solid biofuels market in Los Lagos Region (Chile). This is achieved through the design and implementation of a methodology ratified by both institutions, which allows having statistically representative data and includes intraregional differences.
A methodology is developed to collect information regarding the consumption of firewood and other solid biofuels in Los Lagos Region. With this information, a baseline on regional and communal consumption is
generated, which has guarantees of reliability, free access, and easy updating.
The data obtained are available in a virtual platform that keeps updated statistics on the consumption of firewood and other solid biofuels in Los Lagos Region, thus avoiding early obsolescence of the information.
